Nihon Buyo (Traditional japanese kabuki Dance)

Japan Performing Arts Inc. is delighted to announce our Traditional Japanese Kabuki Dance Recital on Saturday, December 27th.

Traditional Japanese Kabuki Dance (Nihon Buyo) is one of the core traditional arts in our activities.  At the recital, we will not only present the results of the Japanese dance training over the past year but also explain the unique characteristics of how the body is used in this art form.

The reason dancers of Nihon Buyo can continue performing well into their 70s and 80s lies in the specific techniques used for the legs and hips, which significantly strengthens the lower body.  This method also has a very positive impact on overall health.   Wouldn’t you be interested to know more about this unique use of the body?

If you are interested in seeing the beauty of dancing in kimono and the delicate movements involved, please join us at the JPA Japanese Dance Recital.
